Empowering Change: Charis Liau Featured in CNA’s “Women in Fintech” Segment at SFF 2025

IFS Asset Management's CIO, Charis Liau, shares insights on AI and GenAI in finance on CNA during the Singapore Fintech Festival 2025. Learn how innovation, creativity, and personalisation are shaping the future of investment and fintech.

We’re pleased to highlight a recent media feature involving Charis Liau, Chief Investment Officer of IFS Asset Management, who was interviewed in a Channel NewsAsia (CNA) segment during this year’s Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF 2025).

The segment, produced in collaboration with the Singapore Fintech Association’s Women in Fintech Subcommittee, forms part of the “10 Years, 10 Voices” campaign — a celebration of ten influential women shaping the fintech ecosystem in Singapore and beyond.

In the feature, Charis shared her insights on the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI (GenAI) in transforming the financial sector. She highlighted that with today’s rapid automation capabilities, the differentiator is no longer just technical proficiency — but rather, creativity and innovation in building more personalised and impactful financial solutions. Her remarks underscored the importance of reimagining how we deliver value to clients through approaches that are both data-driven and deeply human.

“Today, because of the AI automation and Gen AI capabilities, the key now is really being creative — coming up with new ideas that can make change and making finance more personalised going forward.”
